All About Love: New Visions

Bell Hook’s book explores in detail the kind of love we can cultivate in our lives. Love is not all the same and I’ve discovered love is more so an action than a feeling. Sometimes there are certain patterns we repeat and new ways for us to be in order to fully feel the depth of true everlasting love that is free and healing.

Vex King’s monk spirit is contagious. His wisdom shines brightly on every page of this book. So much so, that I have it at the entryway of my home as a reminder to spread peace and light. His spiritual approach to living life and helping others find peace in their own ways is truly awe inspiring.

How Your Perspective Can Change Your Life

Dan Babcock has a true gift of healing and helping others heal themselves. I met him when I was experiencing excruciating lower back pain that suddenly crippled me while I was grieving the loss of a relationship and going through significant life change. I was able to experience firsthand how specific energy healing modalities can make a difference in how your body feels and responds to daily life. He gifted me a gem of a book that I keep in my personal library because it is an important resource for getting through life.

Not only does his book help inspire you to ground yourself but it evokes a deep curiosity in how you can heal inside and out so that you can be a beacon of light and love for others.

For more on what Babcock does and to experience more healing he runs his own healing practice called DB Energy and Wellness.

Word Medicine: Affirmations and Poems to Inspire and Support Our Journey

This book came into my life when I felt as though my inner light was not shining like it used to. I met Dr. Kellie N. Kirksey on a day of celebration with her family at an Ethiopian restaurant in Cleveland. I had just finished a serving of kitfo and fresh traditional Ethiopian coffee. I savored every bite and wanted to be in Africa. I had just arrived in Ohio and felt the immediate urge to explore on my own and I’m so glad that I did.

Upon meeting this author and incredible human, I could tell she had a light and heart for healing the world. She transformed my heart the moment she asked me to join her family at their table.

This is a book that all people should read.

I believe we need to be reminded of our power, gifts, and extraordinary presence in this world. Our united energy will only make us stronger, brighter, and bolder.

Words do heal. Words have so much power in catapulting us into our destinies and guiding us to where we need to be.

When you need to feel love this book will unfold so much of it on every page.

Gasping for Breath

I read this at at time where I felt overwhelmed with grief. The immense pain we experience as humans can literally take our breath away. If we’re not breathing, we’re dying.

This book is a great reminder of how faith can help us find our breath again.
